The Bed in the Shed

Rates from R2750 per night

The Bed In The Shed is a gorgeous two-storey loft on the corner of our farm shed with an infinity view down the Banhoek valley. It has a spacious sloped-ceiling bedroom with amazing views and a bathroom with a toilet and shower connected to the bedroom. The apartment has a private open area with a fire pit braai (barbecue) and enjoys access to hiking, biking and wild swimming opportunities on the farm.
Please be aware that the shed is in a working area of the farm. This will not impact on your privacy and no one is allowed in the vicinity of the cottage but you may occasionally hear some activity in the morning when we start the day and at 5 when we close up.

Things to do

Guests can enjoy scenic hikes, wild swimming, mountain biking and a leisurely stroll to breakfast or a sunset wine tasting. The cabin has an expansive deck with wooden armchairs and hanging reading chairs for you to relax in. There is a beautifully landscaped dry stone walled braai area and a wood-fired hot tub to soak in while you enjoy the majestic natural surroundings.

Dine Locally

Some of South Africa’s finest restaurants are found in Stellenbosch, a few minutes drive from the farm. Closer to home, the Bartinney tasting shed is an easy 1.5 km stroll along the contour path for charcuterie and some of the Cape finest wines. Café pavé does a wonderful easy-going breakfast.

Drink locally

Sample award-winning local wines at Bartinney, Camberley and Oldenberg wine estates, each only a short walk through the beautiful Banhoek valley.
